Rīgas Brāļu kapos notiek svinīgs lāpu skrējiena "Apkārt Latvijai" atklāšanas pasākums, kura laikā ar 1992.gada skrējiena lāpu no Mūžīgās uguns tiek aizdegtas skrējiena Rīga - Salacgrīva lāpas.
